Materials
1. Make sure you have your three-ring binder and that your name and Language Arts is on the front of it, clearly marked.
2. You should have three clearly labelled dividers:
READING
WRITING
LANGUAGE
GENERAL
3. Each section should have some blank lined paper.
Daily Writing:
1. Label a piece of paper properly.
2. Using the prompt or sentence starter, write a minimum of six sentences (more is better), but no more than one page.
3. We write between 5 and 10 minutes -- there is no talking during this time.
4. You may be asked to read aloud a bit from what you wrote.
5. For the next Daily Writing, use the same piece of paper (until both sides are filled up).
