LANGUAGE ARTS WRITING CHALLENGE -- Optional, for my motivated writers!

Please look over the following websites, which each offers an opportunity for you to publish your writing, or enter a writing competition -- some with cash prizes! When looking at the website, look for "Submitting Writing" or "Publishing Writing" or "Writing Contest," and click.

Once you've perused each website, what it has to offer, what kind of writing it accepts, etc, choose one that seems right for you to focus your writing efforts on. It's always a good idea to read some of the other writing that has been accepted, to give you an idea of what they're looking for.

Make sure you know..
~the kind of writing requested and/or accepted
~the focus/topic of the writing if there is one
~the length of writing (usually expressed as word count)
~how you go about submitting your work
~if there is a deadline for submission

Then, give yourself a deadline for having completed a DRAFT of this writing, so you have time to get feedback from me, or other writer friends/family members.
